I was born in Piacenza, northern Italy, where I lived for 38 years. Growing in the Emilia Romagna region, it was just natural to develop a passion for good food and especially good wine; after 13 years of “attorney life”, in 2009 I decided to turn my passion for wine into a possible new career, enrolling in the A.I.S. program (Association Italian Sommeliers) where I successfully achieved the Level 2.
At the end of 2010 I ultimately decided to leave my well-established life in Italy and begin a new adventure in the wine and hospitality industry here in Temecula, California.
In the first few years here, I worked mostly as a Manager/Sommelier in the tasting rooms of local wineries (Europa Village, Miramonte) and local restaurants (Meritage at Callaway). In 2013 I started Sipiens in order to broker the portfolios of “The Organic Cellar LLC” first, “Fabulous Wines” after and “Vinity Wine Company” most recently in the San Diego county. I also teach classes about wine at MSJC and SDSU and do consulting for Europa Village winery.
